“True improvisation is impossible until you become invisible.”
The stage doesn't demand your effort; it demands your absolute presence. If you are an actor, dancer, comedian, or performer who feels trapped by daily physical habits, repetition, or the fear of looking foolish on stage — I invite you to break those invisible chains.
For many years, I thought I completely understood what improvisation was. But then came a pivotal chapter in my life: I spent 10 years performing with Cirque du Soleil in the show TOTEM. Meeting my teachers there and working on that stage completely shattered my old ideas. It was there that I truly discovered the deep, transformative power of live performance and began to see the art of interaction in a fundamentally new way.
Now, I want to share this unique experience and the philosophy of The Invisible Clown with you during this 3-day intensive workshop in Chicago.
This is not a class about cheap tricks. This is a deep dive into the hidden logic of performance, existential clowning, and the art of true, fearless improvisation.
What We Will Explore
Day 1: The Master Key of Timing. We will dedicate this day entirely to timing—the absolute foundation of our art. You will discover what real timing truly means, learn to feel it, and practice doing everything at the exact, perfect moment.
Day 2: Unlocking the Character. A deep exploration of your theatrical character. We will find the character's core and the specific point in your body from which your character looks at the world. Through the lens of ancient Greek mysteries, we will take a profound dive into the very nature of who you are on stage.
Day 3: The Art of the Invisible Clown. This is the space where true improvisation becomes possible—and only here. We will step into that which cannot be explained by the mind or put into words; it is a realm beyond simple intuition, where your authentic theatrical presence comes alive.
Exclusive Bonus for Participants
I deeply believe that this art thrives on direct mentorship and shared feedback. During our time together, you will receive personalized professional guidance based on the exercises. Together, we will work to discover the exact "dual nature" of your own comedic and theatrical presence.
Important Note on Registration
Because we are co-hosting this event with the local Chicago performing community and space is highly restricted to maintain the quality of the masterclass, spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
